Something for the littlest member so the family. Baby Boppers is a relaxed, fun-filled morning of movement and dance for you and your pre-school child.
Children’s Theatre Club
We have five Children’s Theatre Clubs in total. Each group works towards a performance at the end of term with lines for everyone.
First Act is designed to introduce you to the basics of stagecraft. Through games and scripted work, you will learn everything you’ll need to be a confident actor, at the same time as building life skills and experiences in a fun setting.
Friday Night Live
This takes place on Friday evenings and has three seasons of six weeks every year.
These fun and informal classes aim to reach the local community, explore a variety of new skills and provide a fun activity at a low cost throughout each 10 week term.
Lantern Theatre Company
Lantern Theatre Company takes plays into schools, hospitals, prisons and churches. The shows cover a range of topics including bullying, healthy eating and knife crime and are designed to get the audience thinking about various issues.
Once Upon a Story Time
Following a successful volunteer storytime at Raynes Park library, Amy Phillips and Harriet Laine brought their stories and nursery rhymes to the LAC.
There are some one off events that happen throughout the year; Art Exhibitions, a barn dance or a Quiz Night.
The LAC does three major theatrical productions a year, which have, for the last few years, taken the format of a musical at Christmas, a play at Easter, and a play in the summer.
A film club for over sixties, meets fortnightly on Tuesday with an audience of over 35. It is supported by Merton Council and Tesco’s and continues to be a free service for all who attend.
