Lantern Theatre Company enjoys bringing fun and laughter into hospitals and hospices for children and their families to experience. The Company has also performed in many special needs schools.

Each play is short with simple dialogue and "mini messages". There are plenty of opportunities to join in and the actors move among the audience. Each play is multi-sensory and comes with a cue sheet for practitioners eg "shoot water when the monkey falls in the river" or "bang drums when the elephants march".

These tried and tested plays have been a hit with their simple messages of friendship, caring, stranger danger, stop when someone says stop etc.

Recently we adapted "Food Fight", our healthy lifestyle show sponsored by the NHS, to a 30 minute special needs version. The Acting Head of Eagle House school said,
"Fantastic! Just perfect for our kids. I really was very impressed".
