The LAC was established by members of Raynes Park Methodist Church in 1994 and for over 30 years the LMC and the LAC have successfully worked together serving their local community; 

 

Whilst they remain two independent charities, in 2020/21 they entered into a collaboration agreement to secure their future relationship, acknowledging that by working together they are stronger, and will be more effective into the future.

 

This collaboration has strengthened so much in recent years it has developed its own identity. The ‘Lantern Centre’ or simply ‘The Lantern’.

 

There is a shared commitment from each organisation to actively support the other in the pursuit of both their individual missions and in the shared vision for an arts based Christian Centre of excellence in south west London.
