Still Shining - We have Missed You

26 Jul 2020

As the government guidance changes around community centres and theatres, we are delighted to announce that we will soon be opening our doors again.

It’s not unusual for 24hrs at the LAC to include: toddler class, yoga or pilates, a film screening for senior citizens, children’s theatre club, choir, book club and theatre rehearsals for either a visiting company or for one of our LAC shows.  So as you can imagine, it’s been very, very quiet - how we’ve missed the local community and making great art for everyone to enjoy and experience.

In the meantime...

Once it was safe to do so and with social distancing measures in place, an incredible team started working on some much needed repair and refresh work on the building.  All of which will better help us to be able to keep the building clean and Covid-safe.

The safety of our community and staff is of course our first priority and you will see several changes when you visit including one way-systems, hand sanitiser stations and new signage.

Thank you :)

A huge thank you to everyone who has run and attended our ‘virtual’ LAC. The feedback has been brilliant and our practitioners have been innovative, generous with their time and talents and enabled our bright light to reach many miles away.

We would also like to say a special thank you to all those amazing folks from our community who are NHS and front line workers.

Financial Support :)
