Lantern Arts Choir presents

SWING TIME

Friday 15th March 7:30pm

At St Mark's Church, Wimbledon, SW19 7ND

Come and listen to the infectious tunes of the Swing era! The Lantern Arts Choir and The Lantern Band will be taking you on a musical journey filled with the irresistible melodies of the 1930s and 1940s. From the classic rhythms of ‘It Don't Mean a Thing’ to the dreamy vibes of ‘Moonlight Serenade’, you'll be treated to a repertoire that captures the essence of Swing.

The Choir will be accompanied by The Lantern Band, including piano, drums, trombone, flute, trumpet and clarinet. Expect to be enchanted by familiar tunes like ‘Swinging on a Star’, ‘Sentimental Journey’, ‘Sunday Kind of Love’, and the iconic ’Chattanooga Choo Choo’ by Glen Miller. And of course, no Swing celebration would be complete without a dazzling Gershwin Medley!

The Lantern Arts Choir is the in-house choir at the Lantern Arts Centre, led by Stephen Hall OBE, who is also founder music director of the Civil Service Choir. Further details about the choir can be found by clicking here.

Tickets £10
