Lantern Arts Choir presents

Join us for an enchanting evening with the Lantern Arts Choir as we celebrate the beauty of nature through song. Our flower-themed concert will feature delightful performances of classics like ‘English Country Garden’, ‘Kiss from a Rose’ by Seal and ‘Build Me Up Buttercup’! Let the vibrant harmonies transport you to a garden of musical delights!

The Lantern Arts Choir is the in-house choir at the Lantern Arts Centre, led by Stephen Hall OBE, who is also founder music director of the Civil Service Choir. Further details about the choir can be found by clicking here.

Stephen Hall OBE

Stephen has led and performed with the Lantern Arts Choir since 2014. He is founder music director of the Civil Service Choir, conducting over 150 performances, including with orchestras, and building the choir’s reputation for remarkable performances. Stephen has received professional conductor training through the Association of British Choral Directors and the English Choral Experience.


Stephen was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2018 for voluntary and charitable service, in recognition of developing and leading the Civil Service Choir and for other voluntary and charitable activities. Stephen can be also found treading the boards, having performed in many productions at the LAC, most recently in Kipps in July 2023.
