Lantern Arts Choir presents

SUMMER LOVIN'

Come and listen to a Summer's Day of music! From early morning music to noon day heat and then evening falls…

 

The choir will be singing a mix of music ranging from 1960s, 1980s and right back to Sumer Is Icumen In, which was written in 1310! Once again they will be ably accompanied by piano and band.

The Lantern Arts Choir is the in-house choir at the Lantern Arts Centre, led by Stephen Hall OBE, who is also founder music director of the Civil Service Choir. Further details about the choir can be found by clicking here.

Stephen Hall OBE

Stephen has led and performed with the Lantern Arts Choir since 2014. He is founder music director of the Civil Service Choir, conducting over 150 performances, including with orchestras, and building the choir’s reputation for remarkable performances. Stephen has received professional conductor training through the Association of British Choral Directors and the English Choral Experience.

 

Stephen was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2018 for voluntary and charitable service, in recognition of developing and leading the Civil Service Choir and for other voluntary and charitable activities. Stephen can be also found treading the boards, having performed in many productions at the LAC, most recently as David Bliss in Hay Fever.

Whilst the Lantern Coffee House is currently not yet open, light refreshments will be availablePlease note alcohol is not permitted on site at any time.

Accessibility 

The Lantern Arts Centre is accessible by wheelchair-users and people with restricted mobility, lifts are available for studios on the first floor, whereas ramps are in place to access the main auditorium. When booking please add any requirements in the seating requests section.

Cloakroom

There are no cloakroom facilities at the Lantern Arts Centre.

Ticketing

Once you have booked your seat you will be emailed your e-ticket which will be scanned upon your arrival to the venue. If you are unsure about booking seats please call 020 3761 7070.
