‘Marriage is like paying an endless visit in your worst clothes!’
From the writer of An Inspector Calls, ‘When We Are Married’ is a brilliant farce about three respectable Yorkshire couples gathered together to celebrate their silver wedding anniversaries. Expecting a day of champagne toasts and self-satisfaction, things take an unexpected and deeply embarrassing turn when the couples - and a delightful cast of disgruntled servants and unexpected visitors - discover the three marriages may in fact be legally void. Upended power dynamics and hilarious revelations ensue.
Will the couples find a new appreciation for each other - or the liberating prospect of starting over?
This amateur production of WHEN WE ARE MARRIED is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French, Ltd. ww.concordtheatricals.co.uk
