Meet Jay: 17, swaggering, sharp-witted, on the edge of adulthood.
And about to get some unexpected news.
BOYHOOD is an explosive new play following a young Londoner navigating mates, masculinity… and unplanned fatherhood. Set to a pulsing live soundtrack from award-winning hip-hop theatre maker Conrad Murray. BOYHOOD is an unfiltered rollercoaster of grief, loyalty, and growing up fast.
A raw, spirited and lyrical coming-of-age story, from new writing talent Conor Hunt developed with local young people.
Two actors and a live hip-hop score bring Jay’s story vividly to life in a brand-new production by Attic Theatre Company.
BOYHOOD is an unfiltered rollercoaster through grief, loyalty, friendship and working out what growing up actually means. From park swings and pints to playgrounds and parenthood, this new play from Conor Hunt is funny, brutally honest and heartbreakingly lyrical.
BOYHOOD was developed with young men across South London.
Fresh from a run at The Pleasance Theatre in Islington, this is a special unplugged local performance.
