We are recruiting a Support Worker for the Lantern Centre

The Lantern Centre is seeking a calm, organised, caring individual to join our team as a support worker and ‘face’ of our Lantern Hub Project

Based in the Lantern Centre Hub at Raynes Park you will become knowledgeable on the various events, classes and activities at the centre as well the wider local area including key services provided by the local borough of Merton. The role involves meeting, greeting and signposting people to these various opportunities and services, and recording feedback to illustrate the impact this service is having on people’s lives. You will need to research local and wider services to update and be informed in your role, as well as inviting local appropriate and relevant services to use the Hub space for information events to promote wellbeing through the arts. The role will grow and adapt to the needs of the centre.

Ideally with experience in care services, you will have a high level of communicative skills, be highly organised and have a can-do attitude. Being able to work as part of a team is essential but you’ll also need to be motivated at working independently. Ideally, you’ll have led projects from first concept through to completion, have a background or interest in the arts and be used to working with volunteers.
