The Lantern Arts Centre is looking for a new Treasurer.
This volunteer position is a vital one in helping to ensure the smooth running of our charity and helping the staff and trustees to plan effectively for the future.
As an honorary member of the Board of Trustees, the Treasurer will help to guide the strategy and management of the Arts Centre, particularly overseeing the financial aspects.
Using their knowledge and experience they will help to facilitate the budget setting process and monitor / report on our finances to the Trustees, ensuring that effective financial controls and procedures are in kept place.
The successful candidate doesn’t need to be formally qualified (we receive effective support from our accountant) but should ideally have some experience of preparing and managing budgets, book-keeping and working with multiple stakeholders. Crucially, they must also be interested in the Arts and support the mission, ethos, and values of the LAC.
The role is envisaged to take around 8 hours per month, in addition to attending approx. 6 Trustee Meetings per year.
